SAD NEWS: THE DEATH OF FR. GAUDENSIO LANGOL

The Archdiocese of Gulu mourns the death of Fr. Gaudensio Langol who passed away on February 6, 2008. Fr. Langol died as a result of an motor accident which put him in a comma for two weeks. Fr. Gaudensio Langol was ordained in 1979, and was the parish priest of St. Joseph's Cathedral Parish in Gulu at the time of his death. The following arrangements were made for the funeral services.

Friday Feb 8th,                     Mass at Our Lady of Africa parish - Mbuya in Kampala, presided over by His Grace Archbishop John Baptist Odama

Saturday Feb 9th,                 The body transported from Kampala to Gulu.
                                         Mass at the home of Fr. Gaudensio's parents at Layibi.
                                         The body later taken to St. Mary's Hospital Lacor

Sunday Feb 10th,                 2.00 pm: the body will be brought to the Cathedral
                                         The Clergy, Religious and Christians will spend the afternoon, evening and night in prayer

Monday Feb 11th,                8.00 - 11.00 am: Viewing of the body;
                                        12.00 noon: Requiem Mass presided over by Archbishop John Baptist Odama.
                                        Burial after mass.

May the soul of Fr. Gaudensio rest in eternal peace. Keep the people of the Archdiocese of Gulu in prayers at this trying moment.
